The antibody induces a defect which is essentially identical to Glanzmann’s thrombasthenia. It also inhibits platelet aggregation by ADP, sodium arachidonate, collagen, and thrombin. Anti-CD41 may be useful in identification of platelets and megakaryocytes or in studies of hemorrhagic diseases associated with gp IIb/IIIa deficiency.
|Ig Subclass||Mouse IgG1|
Mouse Anti-Human CD41 (Clone M148) recognizes Human CD41. Anti-Human CD41 (Clone M148) recognizes an epitope on the gpIIb/IIIa complex on the surface membrane of human platelets.
|Immunogen||Purified Recombinant Human CD41 (>98%)|
|Buffer||0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 1% BSA and 0.09% sodium azide as a preservative.|
|Alternate Names||gp IIb/IIIa|
|Purification Method||Affinity Purified|
|Reporter Molecule||PerCp is a component of the photosynthetic apparatus found in the dinoflagellate Glenodinium. PerCP is a protein complex with a molecular weight of ~35 kDa. Due to its photobleaching characteristics do not use on flow cytometers with high-power lasers.|
|Dilution||Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications.|
